What is freedom?

I spend almost 20 years understanding what freedom really is. You can never understand freedom until you have actually experienced it. There are many forms of freedom and they are probably manifested at different stages of one's life; financial freedom, legal freedom, moral freedom, emotional freedom, social freedom...

What I am experiencing right now is conceivable yet indescribable, the freedom to re-discover myself after having gone through 12 years of rigorous educational curriculum and 2 donkey years of National Slavery. These 8 months of do-what-you-want period provides the best opportunity to experience meaningful things other than mugging, digging trenches and paper chasing. I can't imagine the hectic lifestyle and the back-to-books regime that I have to go thru once uni terms starts in August. So, now is still the best time to enjoy!

~~Freedom is when I dun have to constantly monitor my grades and outdo my peers to get the A grade. Freedom is when I dun have to stay awake on my bunk bed fearing that OC/CSM will barge in and confine me over the weekends. Freedom is when I am no longer caged in a camp from monday to friday, far away from all forms of civilisation and performing the duties of a bangla worker for 500/month. Freedom is when I dun have to wake up in the morning cursing and swearing why I have to work or go to school.

Freedom, like happiness, is a choice rather than a consequence. But it has its implications.
Right now, freedom is about enjoying the last 8 months of my adolescence before reaching another phase of my life.
